What is CPA or cost per action marketing? CPA or cost per action marketing is a form of affiliate marketing. Most people are familiar with some of the normal affiliate networks like ClickBank and commission junction. Most people online have heard of the search engine giant called Google. Cost per action marketing is all over the web, but regular bloggers and website visitors might not know the details about cost per action marketing.

CPA Marketing – Who is CPA marketing for? Cost per action networks are a little different that your run of the mill affiliate network. With ClickBank, you can sign up and get an account in just a few minutes. You don’t have a lot of interaction with ClickBank or commission junction. It is really a hands off kind of approach to internet marketing. You get accepted into the network and you start posting ads online.

How to get access to the offers

CPA networks are tougher on affiliates. They want to learn about your business. They want to know that you are a real marketer and that you are serious. You have to send in an application to get in. They read and review your application and they will probably pick up the phone and give you a call for an interview.

How are CPA offers different from regular affiliate offers? CPA offers might not require a user to buy something to generate a commission. There are lots of different offers available and they come in different cpa types. Commissions can be earned for something as simple as a user entering their email address. Getting someone to enter an email should be much easier than getting a person to pull out their credit card.

Blogging and CPA

Do you already have a blog that is getting traffic? You might be looking for another way to get income with your blog. Just about everybody has an Google AdSense account, but they still might be open to other ways of getting money from a blog. Your blog niche might be just the right fit for certain cost per action offers.

Pay Per Click and CPA

Do you know how to setup pay per click ads? Another option for generating income with CPA is to use pay per click to drive traffic to offers. Find the right keyword combinations and send traffic to offers. An added advantage of using CPA is that offers can be targeted at specific areas around the globe. You don’t just have to focus on United States based offers.

Using pay per click ads provides another advantage, PPC ads allow marketers to scale up campaigns. Article marketing and blogging might not get you the results that you are looking for in a short time frame. With PPC, you can drive traffic to offers and get results fast.

Offline Marketing

Marketing offers might not just include marketing online. Some clever people take CPA marketing offline. What is offline marketing? It is just a clever way of talking about regular marketing methods. This is old school marketing. Marketing in the real world has not gone away. People still are walking around and this presents an opportunity to share marketing messages.

Some marketers choose to attach a domain name to the CPA offer. They can then add this new web address to a flyer that is passed out in the real world. Some networks might frown on doing this type of marketing, so you have to check to make sure that it is okay.

Instead of sending offline traffic directly to an offer, marketers might choose to setup a site and place the offers there. Why do it this way? Offline marketers are smart. They know that not all of the people that view the offer are going to take it. By sending them to a website, they have a chance to get something really important in the marketing and lead generation game. The marketer can get information. They might offer the visitor the opportunity to sign up for a newsletter or mailing list. This gives the marketer a chance to build a relationship and provide information and offers for the long term.

Offers will come and go. Marketers have to plan for the option of an offer going away. Offers expire and the marketer doesn’t want to send traffic to a link that doesn’t work. Building a list with the traffic is a way to mitigate the problem.
